Traveling to a New Town

Traveling to a new town is often difficult even for seasoned travelers.

Staying for an extended period, learning where all the good places to shop are, meeting new people can be overwhelming or exciting depending on how you look at things.

Keeping the simple things in the front of your mind will keep the real things in focus.

“The real things haven’t changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.”

― Laura Ingalls Wilder

What is your goal while you are in the Killeen or Fort Hood area? Do you have to make important decisions for your company? Moving here and your family will join you at the end of the school year? So many options and while you’re here you have the opportunity to excel at whatever you’ve arrived in town for.

You also have the opportunity to create memories of Central Texas that will last you a lifetime. Centrally located just hours from Dallas, San Antonio and Houston; weekend trips are one way to see many of the wonderful things that Texas has to offer. Yes, we are a large state but friendly enough that every Texan you meet will be happy to share their favorite place with you.

Taste our bar-b-que, drink our beer, enjoy the higher speed limits but not after the beer tasting and dance in our night clubs. As one of our favorite Texan’s likes to say:

“That’s right, you’re not from Texas. But Texas wants you anyways.”

― Lyle Lovett

Go explore Texas while you’re here and make the most of your visit. There’s no place like it on earth. Enjoy your stay and y’all come back soon.
